After Don Pasquale and Die Entführung aus dem Serail, three French operas houses and a well-known opera Festival meet alongside the Centre lyrique Clermont-Auvergne to produce and program Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci.

  • L’Opéra Grand Avignon

As the historic building is currently under renovation, the production will be presented in the beautiful Théâtre Ephémère, which allows the Avignon’s lyric programming to go on during the construction works. That is where the costumes will be created and the first rehearsals and the two premieres will take place in February 2020. With an eclectic and high level programming, the Opéra Grand Avignon is one of the most important opera house in the south of France.

  • L’Opéra de Massy

Very present in various lyric coproductions, the Opéra de Massy proposes a rich programming in the south of Paris, mixing the great repertoire with genuine discoveries. Music, dance, theater, it is an intense cultural activity that delights the public and assures its renewal. Stars meet young talents with always the same purpose: excellence.

  • L’Opéra de Reims

It will be responsible of the sets manufacturing and will present the production in May 2020. In the east of France, it is an opera  house known for its opening to the baroc and contemporary, as well fort its dynamism; indeed, the Reims Opera house proposes not only a season with headliners and rare titles but also a large diffusion in the region, generously offering a lyric art that has never been this close to the inhabitants.

  • Le Festival de Saint-Céré

For several decades now, the must-see summer festival produces lyrical works where theater has its rightful place. Taking advantage of a brand new scene and of the magical Château de Castelnau-Bretenoux, the festival was able to retain a large public and connected with the Festival de Figeac, dedicated exclusively to theater.  Together with Opéra Éclaté, this Festival show cases the best talents.

The Centre lyrique Clermont-Auvergne and its partners are committed to promoting the distribution of works auditioned in Clermont-Ferrand. Each artist will be kept regularly informed of scheduled concerts. The availability of artists will be taken into account. The Centre lyrique Clermont-Auvergne or any representative named by him has the right to photograph and to film the candidates for the duration of the Contest. In case of dispute, only the French version of this Regulation will be legally valid. Participation in the contest implies the unconditional acceptance of this Regulation.
